First Time Visitors

WHAT TO EXPECT

Looking into visiting with us? Let us ease the anxiety. If you’re running late, don’t worry–we typically start the first song at 9:45. We don’t have a specific dress code; you’ll find the occasional suit and tie and a fair share of sweatshirts and jeans. Kids are welcome and we have activity packets ready for them as you enter the auditorium.

SINGING

Once you’ve said hello and gotten seated, we practice congregational a capella singing in an attempt to sing like the first Christians did. Not proud of your singing voice? That’s ok. Our hope is that we’ll “singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart” (Ephesians 5:19). We sing about eight songs each Sunday.

COMMUNION AND CONTRIBUTION

We take the Lord’s Supper on a weekly basis. Taking time to reflect on the meaning of the sacrifice of Christ is central to who we are and what we do. You are welcome to share the bread and drink the cup with us as we remember the body and blood of Jesus, but it is ok to pass the tray without participating If you’re uncomfortable. We also take up a weekly collection so that we can contribute to the work of the kingdom of God as we have determined in our hearts.

SERMON

We believe God has something for us to hear when we gather together as Christians. Every week there will be a sermon preached that is biblical, engaging, and relevant. If you don’t bring a Bible, you’ll be able to find one near your seat so that you can follow along if you’d like. We’re telling the greatest story ever told and we hope you’ll find something of substance to apply into your life during the week.

BIBLE CLASS

We have Bible classes from 11:15–noon. You’ll find capable and friendly teachers anytime you visit.
